eBike Questions-

How far can an ebike go on 1 charge?

It totally depends on the weight of the rider, the terrain your riding on, is it hills, or flat, paved or gravel, what power setting you are in, how fast you are going, are you pedaling or throttling, etc. Our bikes travel anywhere from 20-80 miles for single battery bikes, and close to 100 for dual battery bikes. Come try them out.

What is the top speed of an eBike ?

Most ebikes are limited to 20 mph (Class 1 is pedal assist only and Class 2 is pedal assist or throttle) or 28 mph (Class 3 is 28 mph on pedal assist only) to comply with federal and local regulations. Almost all of the bikes we sell are in compliance with the 3 class system. eMotos are not eBikes, they can travel faster but are for off road use only.

Are eBike batteries safe?

Every eBike we sell is UL listed and tested to the highest standards of safety. Avoid eBikes purchased online, or anywhere, that do not have a UL or equivalent certifications, as they are not fully tested to be safe and durable. If you eBike and battery are compliant, and not dropped or damaged in an accident they are safe to charge and use daily, and are as safe as any of the other batteries in you home like a laptop, cordless drill, etc.

How do ebikes handle hills?

Our eBikes have anywhere between 350 and 750 watt motors in either the rear wheel hub or in the middle bottom bracket. The larger the torque of the motor the more power it has for climbing hills. Most of our bikes also have gears, allowing the rider to get into a hill climbing gear and use their own leg power combined with the motor power to climb hills fairly effortlessly. There is a large hill near our shop where any of the bikes can be test ridded to experience their ability to climb hills. An ebike is always going to climb a hill easier with pedaling as compared to throttle only.

How long does it take to charge?

Every eBike we sell comes with a home charger that plugs into a standard household outlet. A full charge usually takes between 3 to 8 hours.

What is the battery's lifespan?

Most lithium-ion batteries are rated for 500 to 1,000 full charge cycles, which typically equates to 2 to 5 years of regular use.

Can the battery be removed?

Only two models we sell have integrated batteries, every other batteries is easily removed for charging or storing away from the bike. The two that are integrated can be removed for service or replacement it just takes more time and the use of tools.

Are eBikes waterproof?

eBikes and scooters are water-resistant and can handle riding in the rain, but should not be submerged or cleaned with high-pressure hoses. After riding in the rain eBikes should not stored outside. A wet bike should be left to air dry indoors or better yet towel dried then stored indoors.
